- For teaching ideas I have selected three lessons from the text that I would implement in my classroom.
- The first one consists of reading newspapers and magazines and writing responses to certain articles. This will help students write in a timed setting.
- The second would be a rendition of musical chairs. Students will write off of a prompt and move to different desks depending when the music stops. The key of this idea is to have students use transitions every time they move to a new desk.
- The last is a reflection paper that will be 1 page typed. The purpose of this is for students to reflect on their time in the English classroom. Not only that, but students will give me feedback being brutally honest.
- Please consider some challenges to using strategies from this text. What are the potential issues that may arise from using these strategies? Predict students’ responses. How will you address these challenges? Challenges include..
